I just graduated in May with a degree in History (as you can see in my picture to the right... next to me is my now husband, but my fiance at the time it was taken). Like many other recent alumni I can attest to the difficulty of switching to the career path from the well traveled academic road that I was on for many years. So, here I am. All I have is my love of dreaming, writing and learning to carry me through this particular juncture in my life. Hence the name of my blog.
Due to my insufferable jobless-ness, I've decided to try my hand at professional writing, both because I love writing and I hope it might ease my inevitable boredom. I created this blog to that end for two main reasons. Firstly, so that I may practice writing, and secondly, I hope to get some feedback as to how I'm doing. While I would love to use this forum to post some of my actual fiction writing, the lack of copyrights do not protect it from being stolen or used in ways I would not approve of. So I will use this blog more as a journal project, and create posts on what will probably seem like very random subjects.
